Women Fishing 101 Includes Special Hearing Challenged Seminar!

Save These dates! Yvonne Brown LetsFish Guiding, will offer 4 FREE workshops with great door prizes for Women and young ladies 12+ and up this spring. This is a great opportunity for all women interested in learning the basics about recreational fishing and how to get children involved in the sport. Lots of door prizes, giveaways and a draw for a guided fishing trip will be offered as well.

"LetsFish Guiding is proud to be a supporter of this event, ‘shared John Sedgewick, aka Sedge founder of LetsFish Guiding, ’It will be a great event for the women and young ladies to get some awesome information from a passionate lady angler. Yvonne has a lot to offer and I am sure they will come away from the seminars with some new knowledge, excitement for fishing. Come out and join Yvonne for a fun event.'

Four free seminars will be offered in different locations in southern Ontario for women and young ladies 12+. This is a great opportunity for all women interested in learning the basics about recreational fishing and how to get children involved in the sport. Giveaways and a draw for a guided fishing trip will be offered as well.

A unique addition to the Fishing 101 for Women line-up...a specialized seminar just for Deaf and hard of hearing women. This seminar will be provided in American Sign Language (ASL) and there will not be an interpreter. Sunday, April 14 at Durham Deaf Services in Oshawa.

Ontario Chinese Anglers Association Gala Welcomes Angling Dignitaries!

Mississauga,Ontario December 1, 2012- Ontario Chinese Anglers Association welcomed angling tourism dignitaries who came to honour the efforts of the OCAA in preserving fishing for future generations.

Ontario Chinese Anglers Association Promotes Fishing Conservation

Since 2002, led by the incumbent Chairman Raymond Zee and council members, OCAA members have specialized in adhering to the 'Let's participate! Share the Future!" belief emphasizing the importance of the Chinese community in promoting 'Catch & Release' to educate people to be responsible anglers. OCAA Friends for the Protection of the Environment encourage their angling friends in setting a good example. OCAA also works closely with the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron and have assisted in the translation of the fishing regulations guide and Boating Basic manual into Chinese. The OCAA offers Safe Boating classes and Pleasure Craft Operator Card test in Chinese for members and the public. OCCA’s initiative is to assist members to understand and follow the fishing regulations and emphasize the importance of safe boating practice.

Ontario Chinese Anglers Association Recognizes Supporters

Ontario Chinese Anglers Association presented its 13th Gala Awards dinner in an elegant setting with first class presentations. A live an silent auction complimented the fun, great food, and recognition Awards.
Numerous fishing and tourism dignitaries were presented awards for their partnership in helping promote the Ontario Chinese Anglers Association including: Rosa Sharpe - Lures & Tours, Chris Hockley - Pure Fishing, and Dave Fisher, Everstart.

Radioworld Congratulates Ontario Bass Federation Nation Team Ontario 2013!

Ontario Bass Federation Nation Team Ontario 2013 members were selected at the Hank Gibson Qualifier in Lindsay, Ontario where Lures and Tours was happy to provide photo and video coverage of the event. OBFN Team Ontario will be travelling to Casco, Maine to compete at the B.A.S.S. Federation Eastern Divisional Championship on Sebago Lake from September 16th - 20th, 2013.
